Not sure how to handle parents who express concern about what you a teaching their children?

Today’s podcast episode is with Reading teacher, Shannon Watson who is not only an HGTV star but also a promotor for inclusion when to choosing and teaching diverse literature in her class.
Reading opens up a world of thoughts questions and curiosities for the students. With that comes lots of positive conversations that can sometimes land on some uncomfortable conversations. When talking about diversity and inclusion it’s impossible to avoid uncomfortable situations - but many people try. Most teachers try - but as our guest today shares with us, avoidance is also sending a message.

You’ll get some great tips from episode #4, Teaching Diverse Literature, that you can start using immediately.
